A Wagoner business owner is spending the week mentoring a Rwandan woman. It's part of the 'Peace Through Business Program' based out of Oklahoma City. Fifteen women from Rwanda and Afghanistan are selected for the program to learn how to be successful business owners in their war-torn home countries. OETA's Angela Rosecrans reports.

Gordon and I had the pleasure of stealing away for 24 hours to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary. We drove 45 minutes south east of Tulsa to The Canebrake. I am not exaggerating when I tell you, it was the very best place EVER!!

As we rounded the corner to enter the drive, a carpet of thick green, perfectly manicured grass edged the road. Leafy trees rose up against the dramatic Oklahoma sky, part dark gray storm clouds, part blindingly white puffs, with a break of cerulean blue.

WAGONER - A year ago, the south end of the horse barn on the Neosho River Ranch east of Wagoner was taking on the look of a restaurant and plans for turning a portion of the ranch into a resort were mostly on paper.
