After sustaining a broken back and facing a future with chronic pain, Lisa took up yoga in earnest when she moved to Oklahoma a decade ago. She has taught yoga and meditation for the past 8 years in The Yoga Barn at The Canebrake as well as at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. In addition to teaching public classes, workshops, and working with students privately, she is currently taking clients as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner Intern through California College of Ayurveda. She holds a Master's degree in Kinesiology, and is fascinated with the 'why and how' or bodies move - or more oftentimes don't. From 'seasoned citizens' to college co-eds, she has a passion and gift for introducing yoga and Ayurveda to the minds and bodies of a wide variety of students.
